Key Stage 3 Careers Programme
In years 7-9 students will develop their skills for success through the Aspiring Futures Programme, Personal Development Days and additional events. Students will learn how to transfer these skills into lessons, to increase their awareness of personal strengths and interests to support learning and development. Our Careers education and guidance programme will help students to make informed choices about their future.

- Year 8: Exploring Careers and Building Skills
- Year 9: Considering Options for GCSEs and Making Informed Choices
Year 7 Learning Outcomes:
- I can identify my strengths, interests and skills and explain how they are developing.
- I can recognise different jobs and sectors and explain that careers develop over time.
- I can use simple careers tools and ask for help when I need advice.
Year 8 Learning outcomes:
- I can explain how my skills, values and interests influence future choices.
- I can describe different routes into work, including technical and vocational pathways.
- I can work with others and reflect on what I learn from careers activities.
Year 9 Learning outcomes:
- I can explain how GCSE choices link to future opportunities.
- I can research post-16 options and use labour market information to compare them.
- I can challenge stereotypes and make informed option choices.
